Remodeling Saga Part 2

It has been a VERY long time since my last post. I think I jinxed myself when I said that it wasn't super busy around here. How stupid could I be?!

This post will be about the bedroom remodel and how far I had gotten before I waved the white flag until further notice. I at least was able to finish the painting, and it is amazing how a new coat of paint can completely transform a room. Even without the flooring in yet, the room feels and looks so much nicer. The temperature does not have nearly as bad drafts now that we finally got some insulation in the outside wall. Still amazes me that it didn't have ANY insulation. Once again: What were the people thinking that did that?!?

Daddy's little helper picking up nails and screws with the magnet.

The ugly yellow and black insulation was the only stuff that was in the wall. The pink is the new that was just added.

Drywall is up and almost finished being taped and mudded.

Painting is almost done!

Done with the painting! It's hard to tell that the walls are a soft grey and the ceiling a bright white, but it looks super nice in person.

The painting took me a lot longer than I thought it would and I blame being pregnant and having 2 toddlers to try and keep out of the room and paint supplies. Thank goodness to whoever invented baby gates, they are a life and sanity saver.

Also finally got some rock in the front yard where all of the irises and dead roses were at. It looks SOOO much nicer.

So much better than the mud and dirt that we had to deal with when it rains!

Well that is is for this post. Hopefully you enjoyed reading it and don't forget to click on an ad or two for me if you feel like it, it would help me out. :)
